church of earth

Church of Earth is a multidisciplinary social art project that I founded and directed beginning in 2016.  This was envisioned as a platform to engage community in creative exploration of the psycho-spiritual affects of living in this time of "climate change”, and provide opportunities to recover a spiritual and embodied relationship with the Earth.  From 2016 to 2020 we organized an annual Earth Day art show that included an evolving series of events, workshops, interactive installations.  From 2018 to 2020, in addition to several other community events and workshops, we facilitated monthly "Community Meetings”: spaces to process our grief, anxiety, and burnout in order to build resilience and navigate a quickly changing world.

Church of Earth has been a platform for the creation of several zines, a series of t-shirts and other goods made from repurposed materials, a podcast called “Altared States”,  several collaborations with other organizations, and a monthly/seasonal newsletter, Earthling News.  Learn more about Church of Earth here.
